Completed in January this year, this stunning transformation was for a large family and included designing a contemporary kitchen and laundry.
The brief was to create a timeless design that could be enjoyed for years to come and improve everyday living.
For the kitchen and laundry joinery, our design included selecting soft green tiles, a combination of warm timber and white shaker-style cabinetry, concrete look bench tops, as well as gunmetal fixtures and fittings.
For the kitchen design, we utilised an existing study space to extend the space and create the ultimate butler's pantry. This home fortunately had ample bedrooms and an alternative study space so this was the perfect, functional solution to have even more kitchen storage and space to prepare.
I am truly so proud of this transformation! This new design maximises light, space and will be the perfect base for years to come.
If I had to select a favourite part of the design, it would be the integrated lighting. With minimal natural light, incorporating lighting to the underside of the overhead cabinets has been a valued addition. The family said that on a gloomy Melbourne day and through to the evening, the lighting creates a beautiful atmosphere without turning on the "big light".
