Situated in the Botanical Display Village in Mickleham, these two family display homes catered to two completely different briefs.
The larger home's brief was 'hotel luxe', drawing upon the homes grand proportions, dark and rich material palette, and feature void space over the dining area.
My design incorporated a selection of furniture and objects that were reminiscent to those you'd find in a high-end home or luxury home.
To me, this included drawing focus to luxurious fabrics, furniture with thoughtful detailing, metallic accents, all while complementing the architectural features of the family home.
For the smaller home, the client brief was 'coastal inspired', drawing upon the homes calmer material palette and abundance of natural light.
To me, coastal inspired is all about selections that appear more relaxed, lived in, and incorporate nature. This included incorporating deep blue hues reminiscent of the ocean, distressed elements that provide this feeling of being collected, and pops of greenery to bring the outdoors in.
